What's the saddest kind of mint?

Abandon-mint!

Luckily Established didn't abandon us this week, instead proving their commit-mint with a Grasshopper pie. For those of you itching to know what such a pie entails, have patience, young Grasshoppers!

This pie was a delicious combination of an oreo crust, a fresh mint marshmallow filling, and dark chocolate chips. The green jiggly-ness of this pie wasn't the most appealing to gaze upon but rewarded our taste buds with its minty flavor. Pieces of mint were dispersed throughout along with the chocolate chips, which made for a versatile textural experience.

While the marshmallow lent a thickness to the filling, it left One Crusty Gal wishing for a mousse-like center instead. The Other Crusty Gal enjoyed the overall effect but wondered why Established went to the effort of making fresh marshmallow only to obscure it in the filling.

When Established uploads pie previews to Instagram, giving followers a hint of the flavors to come, we are often left raising our eyebrows in suspicion. From white chocolate to marshmallow, we are not always enthusiastic about what's in store, but Established consistently whips up harmonious pairings that leave us pleasantly surprised.

This week was no exception and although we prefer our Grasshoppers with a strong kick, we'd come hopping back for this pie!
